Creative Minds Workshops

Making space for creativity, connection, and self-expression. What if creativity could help us reconnect with ourselves and each other?

Creative Minds is a creative, inclusive, and welcoming initiative founded by multidisciplinary artist, musician, and facilitator Y Josephine. Through music, poetry, rhythm, writing, movement, and playful creative exercises, we create spaces where people can explore their feelings, express themselves, discover their strengths, and connect with others in a supportive environment. Inspired by lived experience and the restorative power of artistic expression, these workshops invite participants to let go of the pressure to be perfect, embrace their individuality, and discover new ways of engaging with their inner world.

You don’t need to be a musician, a writer, or an artist. You don’t need to know what to say or how to begin. You simply need to show up as you are. This is a space for creativity, not perfection. For expression, not judgment. For connection, not competition.

Creative Minds is not psychotherapy or a substitute for professional mental health care. It is a creative and community-based initiative that uses artistic expression to encourage connection, self-discovery, and well-being.

The Four-Session Journey

This four-session program offers participants the opportunity to develop their creativity and connection over time.

Across four guided sessions, we explore music, poetry, writing, rhythm, and personal expression while building trust and discovering the power of creating together.

The journey culminates in a collaborative songwriting experience. As a group, participants develop and complete an original song, bringing their ideas, words, and creativity together in a small final presentation or concert.

The goal is to experience the process of making something meaningful together, celebrating each person’s contribution, and recognizing what can emerge when we create as a community.

Ideal for: Organizations seeking a multi-session creative program, community groups, youth programs, and groups interested in collaboration, confidence-building, and artistic exploration.
